Her books begin in high school and the situations are incredibly relatable.In this particular story, Ella is living with her step mom and two step sisters. She has lost both of her parents (mom at birth and Dad right before her eleventh birthday) She has to live with a family she barely knows and who treat her like she is their maid.Ella copes with her unconventional life by developing a friendship online. In this day and age, we can all relate to internet friendships. Only Ella is beginning to fall for the boy behind the username Baller929.As their relationship continues, Baller929 begins to put a little pressure on Ella to meet in person. Lucky for her, she is finally creating some real life friendships at her school when the school counselor places her in a social experiment to see if strangers from various backgrounds can develop a bond. Her new friends are able to help her decide when and how she will meet her mysterious online friend.Without giving more away, Ella decides to meet her prince charming only to find out he is way out of her league. Her confidence takes a sharp turn and leads her down a path that isn’t such a happy ending. You will have to read more to see if it works out for her!I loved how Yesenia Vargas was able to spin this story into a modern day Cinderella. She throws in a few surprises along the way, like a fairy godmother who turns out to be the last person you would expect!This book already gets an A+ because it doesn’t have foul language or explicit scenes. I highly recommend it for people of all ages, because who doesn’t love a sweet romance?

Cinderella fairytale retelling.Your typical evil stepmom and stepsisters, along with your fairytale prince, comes a twist on modern day high school where a nerdy girl and your high school basketball star athlete connect.While reading this story, I felt a connection between this story and that of The Sisterhood of The traveling Pants as well as the movie A Cinderella Story.I felt the need to read this story in one sitting. It kept me intrigued and I enjoyed meeting all the characters. My favorite being of course Ella, Jesse, Rey and Ms. Moreau. My least favorite character was Sophia.While reading this story I felt the emotional sensitivities of Ella’s character, as well as her group of new friends, which brought me into the story and left me wanting to know more. But basically, all about a young high school girl finding her way with a little help from her friends. :-) It's beautifully written. Relies perfectly on dialog to advance the plot.Even though you might know the traditional Cinderella story, there are so many twists and turns in this book! Keeps you on your toes. Fun surprises all along the way. Who is the prince? Where is the ball? The author, Yesenia Vargas, will keep you guessing.It's written in the first person with Ella, The Real Cinderella, taking you directly into her struggle, from the bleary-eyed crack of dawn to the best-MOST AMAZING-day of her life so far. Fun quick retellingAlthough this was predictable as it is a retelling of a story that’s been done a bunch of times , I loved the twist and the friendship growth that this brought to the table. The romance portion was a bit flat for me and there was a lot of stereotypical Tropes of nerdy girl and cheerleaders that had me rolling my eyes. But the growth with the friends was goals. I love Ella and Baller929! Their texting relationship is both intriguing and heartwarming. I especially love the natural way in which their relationship evolves.The school counselor is wonderful. At first, it looks as if her idea of creating a peer support group for some of the girls who appear to be struggling in one way or another is doomed to fail. But slowly they form friendships, become more confident, and have each other's backs. It was rewarding to read about that.I had to suspend disbelief over how cruel and unfeeling the stepmother and stepsisters were, and was frankly skeptical of their behavior at the end. Other than that, I enjoyed this book very much!

At first, I thought this was the novel on which the movie "A Cinderella Story" was based. I was quite surprised to learn it was written recently. Apparently, the author decided to appropriate the plot of the film. The ending was rushed and forced. The character of the aunt was ludicrous in its development, and the rationale for lack of contact from her relatives was weak.

This is an excellent retelling of a classic, completely updated to today. No magic, but then Ella (Daniela) didn’t need magic. Nope, this heroine made her own fairytale come to life — just like the rest of us everyday mortals!It’s sweet and with just enough twists to keep you turning the pages. Definitely recommend.

I ordered this guidebook to help with travels around my home state. It gives interesting historical information and is full of beautiful photographs. However, it's somewhat lacking in helpful information that I look for in guidebooks, and in some places has not been updated. It offers very few suggestions for hotels and restaurants. Its maps of Dallas do not show the light rail stations, which are very handy for getting around town. Also, it describes the free Dillo shuttles in Austin, which were discontinued in 2008.

All I wanted was a nice book to give my neighbor's who are moving to Texas. A nice gift to give them some ideas of things to do in Texas. What I got was a Left leaning travel guide. Really? You can't even keep your liberal views out of a travel book? It's a travel book!! So tired of the Liberal agenda and now it's even in a travel book... about Texas.

About the Author

Diana Cohn lives in northern California. When not writing or working on other creative projects, she works as a program officer for a national foundation on issues related to economic justice. Good book, especially if you are teaching your child English and Spanish or just history.

This was the children's book that made me cry. The little boy wanted to help his Mother. It's the sweetest thing that talks about workers rights. Standing up for something, supporting family and solidarity. A must own for all children IMHO

First of all, I am not a Forex Trader and I am certainly not a Day Trader. I am a swing trader who uses stocks, options and leveraged ETFs for trading on a time scale of a few days to a month of holding period. However, I was certain that I could benefit from a guidance on the subject of volume profile.I was not disappointed. The author does an admirable job of educating about the importance of volume as the third dimension of a technical analysis, the price and time being the other two. His explanation of the market movers' footprint to be found in the volume bars is lucid and coherent. I had no difficulty buying his arguments trace the movement of the market makers from their volume footprint. Applying his observations on trade setups was a logical conclusion and I set about examining dozens of charts of equities prospectively to see the results. They work with proper precautions taken as described by him.It is rare to see advocates of this theory or that one admit to their failed trades. This author does it and makes good points to emphasize that nothing works 100% of the time in the markets.I will be re-reading this e-book again in a few weeks and may have a few notes to add at that time.This one of the best educational nugget I have found in a vast ocean of misinformation, idealistic and hopeful prattle about investing advice.It is a bargain at this price and could help you make better decisions in your trading experience.My many many thanks to the author for such a lucidly written short book about such an important subject.

I've always wanted to learn more about how volume and volume profile work but cannot say ''this book helped me at all! I was skeptical when I ordered the book but am more so now especially when the author says he uses a system where his stop is bigger than his target! My hunch is I could have learned more by simply using google search

The actual contents of this book are great! This is a useful tool. But $18 for a book that is poorly printed and did not arrive in even like new condition is unreasonable. In addition, these contents can be found for free in pdf form - it would be much more feasible to print them out myself.

This is a good read. I think that people need to know that Satan is alive and horribly well in this world and he uses everything at his disposal to hurt anyone who is not one of his own. This book reveals some of the ways Satan comes into our lives to hurt us and helps us to be aware of what to look for so we can prepare for attacks.

I was disappointed. You said it contained demons and how to stop them, and all it ended up being was a bloody dictionary. I want my money back. I meant to only give you 1 star, but my phone wouldnt let me.
