Though I have been an investor / swing trader in stocks and options over the last 10+ years, I recently left the corporate world and am attempting to day-trade futures full time as my primary source of income. I am completely new to trading in the futures markets and have been recently investigating different futures philosophies and trading systems available. I was baffled by much of what I read in books others had recommended I read (I was unable to take what I had read and put it into action). Further, I was not trusting of much of what I found on the internet to be over-hyped systems promising almost guaranteed fortunes. But, I then stumbled onto Mr. Gutmann's book on a search on Amazon and was really glad I did. Mr. Gutmann's system is one of taking what information the market is providing to you on a daily basis in combination with other key indicators and price levels and anticipating market moves by identifying pattern set-ups resulting in high probability trades. Also very key is the chapter on trade management which provides great insights on fading out of a multi-contract position to move to a no-loss position in the hopes of letting a winner run. I have been very pleased with this book providing a framework approach to trading the Futures Markets and the ability I am gaining in understanding the "auction process" and how to interpret what the market is signaling to you (and knowing where to look and what to look for to get those signals).Mr. Gutmann also offers his technical indicators to you for a mere $200 that you can run in Tradestation that are key to visualizing the key price levels and market internals to trade with that are emphasized in the book. Once I purchased the indicators, Mr. Gutmann put me on his email list and sends out multiple emails each week in which he shares what trades he has made during the day / week and to re-emphasize much of the setups in the book (FYI, inter-market divergences are just one of the many key things you will learn to keep an eye on - but you'll have to read the book to understand the leaders and followers). When I bought the indicators I was new to Tradestation and had some issues in setup, Mr. Gutmann responded expeditiously after I sent an email to him and he called me right away and walked me through the setup. I find Mr. Gutmann to be a very solid ethical and conscientious individual who is dedicated to sharing his ever-evolving knowledge in trading the E-Mini markets and I value his knowledge/experience very much. Mr. Gutmann is a real futures day-trader doing it for a living and uses what he shares in his book. I believe you will get a lot out of this book, no matter your knowledge level. I have recommended it to my trading friends.

I have read both editions of this book and found them to be an excellent source of every-day-reference for trading S&P E-Mini. The real value is observed after reading the text multiple times and applying it to daily trading. Personally I think I would be completely lost if several independent tools are not available to "weigh" the market before setting up each trade. The content of this just provides that; analyzing the market from an objective perspective without a bias at all. The information included provides you with fundamentals of trading in a simplified manner. I read the books as if I had to take an exam on the subject...just like I did in my engineering college! No back testing has been done on the methodologies, however, the market brings unique scenarios every day and thus being cognizant of the moment is equally important, in my humble opinion, than isolating a situation and modeling it for perfection. The software (sold separately for a nominal price) serves as icing on this wonderful writing. I can't even fathom to trade in absence of powerful tools which are part of this "medium-tech" yet "high-concept" software. I have read several books on the subject but this has attained status of a permanent reference in my library.

I purchased two years ago and have come back to this book. Everything in this book is insightful and applicable to trading the index futures. Everything you need to build a methodology is in this book. Two thumbs up. You don't need much more than this book to really get going.

This is the second edition of the book, that seems to incorporate complementary ideas to the first edition.I really liked it, since it gives very detailed explanation of how anticipating where the market may react in your favor and positioning there before price hits that price, can give you an edge of entering with a small risk, that is part of a good capital preservation defensive plan of trading. I bought the book since I use that kind of trading and also I was able to view inside the book and noticed that it uses very few technical indicators, which are late in giving you signals and expose you to bigger loses than if you anticipate price turns with very tight stop loss.By the way, in order to enjoy the book, you can go to his website and there you will find all the charts of the book, something that I discovered early when I read the last pages and noticed that.The author uses a couple of indicators that he sells for a very low price in his website also, but they work only for Tradestation. In my opinion, if you have access to market internals, it is not necessary to use this indicator, once you understand the concept of what he does, but as an Engineer that he is, he has devised a clever way to let the chart tell you what condition the market is, without major doubt.The author has made a big effort to explain with great detail his price patterns and setups, but it will take some time to digest all the information contained in the book, that for me is the book I would have liked to have available in my early years of looking for the Holy Grail, since I started as most.. using technical indicators to evolve now to use none and base my trading in anticipating levels of reaction and watching how the market behaves there.It is a good book, once you clean your charts and start looking for what he teaches, you will start finding low risk points of entry in your charts, with the potential of catching some runners.

Fantastic.. we've only two hens and they arnt the Hybrid of Long Island Red.. but instead- two Feral found separately. The first was a yellow chick laid out in our driveway one night in the rain.... the second one found about 6 weeks later in the street... fresh out of the egg a ball of black and white fuzz so small it couldn't even roll itself over!We took them cause we couldn't let them just die... and were shocked they survived... guess love and care can go a long way... and now.. we are happy to report they are each giving an egg a day...they are healthy, clean and the book was a giant help for guidance!

Meh, it was ok and basically a rehash of things I found on the internet. It organized ideas and walked you through all the steps from egg to egg layer. A very up-in-the air tone throughout the book that never really tells you what works best for backyard chicken husbandry. It does a good job of warning you about the responsibility required to raise chicks which should make beginners think twice before jeopardizing the well being of baby chicks.

This book is exactly what I was looking for, It includes everything I need to know about raising my chickens.Very informative, with clear ideas and things you need to know when raising chickens in your backyard.I just couldn't put this book down, I was just eager to read the next ideas. Good investment for the price.Must recommend.

Being brand new to chicken keeping, we looked for a book that would help us with everything from looking after them to the best ways to keep them happy. We found this book to be excellent for us first timers. We found it to be especially useful on finding out the correct coop size (and what needs to go in it), the list of videos to see the various stages of a chicken's development and the correct feed.

I got quite a bit of good info from this book that I didn't already have. I only gave it a four star instead of five rating because the author could have added a little more breed information connected to what was written in regard to the winter laying breeds. I can research that for myself but it would have been nice to have it. Otherwise, great basics book! I'll read more from this author.

She has lost both of her parents (mom at birth and Dad right before her eleventh birthday) She has to live with a family she barely knows and who treat her like she is their maid.Ella copes with her unconventional life by developing a friendship online. In this day and age, we can all relate to internet friendships. Only Ella is beginning to fall for the boy behind the username Baller929.As their relationship continues, Baller929 begins to put a little pressure on Ella to meet in person. Lucky for her, she is finally creating some real life friendships at her school when the school counselor places her in a social experiment to see if strangers from various backgrounds can develop a bond. Her new friends are able to help her decide when and how she will meet her mysterious online friend.Without giving more away, Ella decides to meet her prince charming only to find out he is way out of her league. Her confidence takes a sharp turn and leads her down a path that isn’t such a happy ending. You will have to read more to see if it works out for her!I loved how Yesenia Vargas was able to spin this story into a modern day Cinderella. She throws in a few surprises along the way, like a fairy godmother who turns out to be the last person you would expect!This book already gets an A+ because it doesn’t have foul language or explicit scenes. It kept me intrigued and I enjoyed meeting all the characters. My favorite being of course Ella, Jesse, Rey and Ms. Moreau. My least favorite character was Sophia.While reading this story I felt the emotional sensitivities of Ella’s character, as well as her group of new friends, which brought me into the story and left me wanting to know more. Fun quick retellingAlthough this was predictable as it is a retelling of a story that’s been done a bunch of times , I loved the twist and the friendship growth that this brought to the table. The romance portion was a bit flat for me and there was a lot of stereotypical Tropes of nerdy girl and cheerleaders that had me rolling my eyes. But the growth with the friends was goals. I love Ella and Baller929! Their texting relationship is both intriguing and heartwarming. I especially love the natural way in which their relationship evolves.The school counselor is wonderful. At first, it looks as if her idea of creating a peer support group for some of the girls who appear to be struggling in one way or another is doomed to fail. But slowly they form friendships, become more confident, and have each other's backs. It was rewarding to read about that.I had to suspend disbelief over how cruel and unfeeling the stepmother and stepsisters were, and was frankly skeptical of their behavior at the end. Other than that, I enjoyed this book very much!

At first, I thought this was the novel on which the movie "A Cinderella Story" was based. I was quite surprised to learn it was written recently. Apparently, the author decided to appropriate the plot of the film. The ending was rushed and forced. The character of the aunt was ludicrous in its development, and the rationale for lack of contact from her relatives was weak.

This is an excellent retelling of a classic, completely updated to today. No magic, but then Ella (Daniela) didn’t need magic. Nope, this heroine made her own fairytale come to life — just like the rest of us everyday mortals!It’s sweet and with just enough twists to keep you turning the pages. Definitely recommend.

I ordered this guidebook to help with travels around my home state. It gives interesting historical information and is full of beautiful photographs. However, it's somewhat lacking in helpful information that I look for in guidebooks, and in some places has not been updated. It offers very few suggestions for hotels and restaurants. Its maps of Dallas do not show the light rail stations, which are very handy for getting around town. Also, it describes the free Dillo shuttles in Austin, which were discontinued in 2008.

All I wanted was a nice book to give my neighbor's who are moving to Texas. A nice gift to give them some ideas of things to do in Texas. What I got was a Left leaning travel guide. Really? You can't even keep your liberal views out of a travel book? It's a travel book!! So tired of the Liberal agenda and now it's even in a travel book... about Texas.

This was the children's book that made me cry. The little boy wanted to help his Mother. It's the sweetest thing that talks about workers rights. Standing up for something, supporting family and solidarity. A must own for all children IMHO
